Create a Bluetooth circuit
« on: March 19, 2017, 04:23:27 pm »
I'd like to suggest a video topic.  I want to design a pcb with a Bluetooth chip on it.  I understand that as this is a radio, there are regulations such as the FCC's in America that have to be considered.  What all is involved to get approvals?  Is it better to just use a module with all that already in place?  How do we know that one of these modules is really approved and not just falsely labelled as such?

I will go for a module, if you use a BT chip, you may need to program the firmware on it which may no be that difficult if the chip vendor has the tools, but  you also need to do the RF calibration.
