PM'ing a user: Confirmation OK, but nothing in my sent list?

HI Dave, Dave 2 et al. Occasionally I send something to someone and it seems to be "hit or miss" if the user ever gets a text. I get a green confirmation text box, but am I must be doing something wrong?

Oops sorry, just found the settings for it. I ass-umed it would be on by default... "Save a copy of each personal message in my sent items by default"

Yes it seems that you have to specify that you want a copy saved of what you send. Really the whole PM system is a bit bonkets as it's like a forum thread with messages from multiple users.
