t-fal optigrill tear down

I got this little bugger and it makes food bang on every time.

I can actually get super tender worry free chicken off this thing that maybe even tastes better then stuff off the gas grill (and certainly seems healthier because you can clean it easily and you don't need to worry about old rancid fat being vaporized like you do on a regular grill). It even does steak pretty decent.

Surely a grill would only worry a chicken if the chicken is still alive when you put it in the grill?

Make sure you make a copy of the receipt for that, especially if you got a warranty over a year on it, you will need it. ISTR the PSU in these, and many of the clones, being a very poor capacitor supply that dies in the high heat environment, along with all the capacitors being the bottom of the barrel cheapest thing we could buy that day in the market kind, often being recycled or fake, barely meeting any sort of QC when new, let alone when gently cooked for a few months.
