Thermal Runaway and Bad Crimping

Dave,
Please explain to us the effects of bad crimping, thermal runaway and what type of analysis needs to be conducted when a toasted wire appears somewhere in the circuit (and you've narrowed down all possibilities except for the cable itself).

This is not an actual electronics topic, more on the electrical side of things but still, Dave's explanations are a different thing.
I haven't checked his entire channel yet but considering all the videos I've seen, I couldn't find anything related.

There's an idea for a video - thermal problems ... in general.  Dave did a video which covered thermal resistance - but there are a number of other thermal problems you can encounter...

... and if you want to get into the nitty gritty of crimping - there'd be a video of that by itself, especially if you go up to industrial cabling!
