Can I get my MSOX to also transmit SPI or I2C?
« on: July 21, 2018, 06:30:07 pm »
Hello there,

I have a Keysight MSOX3035T fully loaded. I can use the protocol analyser to decode some of the common buses. But now I'd be interested in generating SPI or I2C on the fly with the scope. Can I do that somehow?

Thanks.

No (at least as far as I know).

It has a "demo" mode where it uses the probe compensation outputs to transmit patterns, and there are some example SPI-like signals (but with only two outputs). Theoretically, the signal generator could be a third output, but it isn't programmed to output SPI like that. In addition, you don't have any control it the demo signals....
