Hi,
I have recently purchased a DS1054z and hacked it to DS1104z. Its current firmware is 04.03.SP1. I'm assuming that lines up to the release note (http://beyondmeasure.rigoltech.com/acton/attachment/1579/f-0657/1/-/-/-/-/DS1000Z%20Firmware%20Release%20Notes.pdf (http://beyondmeasure.rigoltech.com/acton/attachment/1579/f-0657/1/-/-/-/-/DS1000Z%20Firmware%20Release%20Notes.pdf)) update for 0.4.03.00.01 (date: 2015-05-05).
It appears there is a new firmware update for the DS1000z series and having copied the DS1000ZUpdate.GEL file onto a USB and popping into the DSO it detects the upgrade and asks if I'd like to upgrade to 04.03.02.03 (it says Model: DS1000Z, Version: 00.04.03.02.03). The Rigol release notes show this update's date as 2015-10-20. (Downloaded from http://beyondmeasure.rigoltech.com/acton/fs/blocks/showLandingPage/a/1579/p/p-0019/t/page/fm/0 (http://beyondmeasure.rigoltech.com/acton/fs/blocks/showLandingPage/a/1579/p/p-0019/t/page/fm/0)).
Would greatly appreciate if anyone can let me know whether this will be OK to upgrade or whether it may brick my DSO? Would I need to roll-back to a pre-hack default before I do this?
As I bought this in Australia is there an alternative firmware or will that be the same worldwide?
Thanks

Yes you can upgrade without uninstalling the hack. There is only 1 firmware worldwide.

That worked. It now reports the version on the scope as 04.03.SP2
Thank you!

Glad it worked for you, enjoy.
