Can you make a rudimentary TV using the XY mode on tek 3465

 That should be doable. Are there any circuits you can make that produce shapes or other things?

I don't have a signal generator.
Max characters: 300; characters remaining: 191

I assume you mean Tek 2465 oscilloscope.  If you've got a front end (tuner, demodulator) that gives you composite video, you can make a converter that takes the NTSC (or PAL) composite video and creates the X, Y and Z voltages to drive the scope - turning the scope into a crude video monitor - like this:

Yes, definitely. I've been playing with a simple sawtooth generator using a 555 (use for X sweep) and you can generate Y voltages with a DAC - this only needs 11 digital lines so you can do this on something as small as a Duemilanove.
