Question about Logic Analyser Pod Cables.

Hi all,
     I have a Rigol MSO11104z-s (with LA), but the flat cable to the digital test points is about 10cm shorter that I need it to be. I also have an old pod cable from a different Logic Analyser that would be long enough and the connector seems correct too. My question is: Are these interchangeable? Are they just glorified extension cables or do they contain active components matched to the device which would mean I can only use it on the device it was made for?

I originally thought that they were just ordinary twisted pair cables but when I tried to do a continuity check on the cables on my Agilent I couldn't trace anything other than the ground leads which were all along one side. None of the other connectors showed any continuity so I have to assume some active components in the head. Most likely Rigol do the same as they used to make for Agilent at one time I think.
