Crippled TDS5054B?

Curious about this one. A normal TDS5054B can sample at up to 5GS/s. This one can only do 1GS/s.

I think this is due to export restrictions. I've also seen a 1GS/s "option" in a TDS7xx user manual some years ago.

I took a closer look at the unit, and was just able to make out the serial #

It was sold to the Dept of The Navy!

I'm guessing, but I think the limitation is 1Gs/s on all four channels simultaneously, and 1Gs/s on any one channel. A standard TDS5054B would be 1.25Gs/s on all four channels, 2.5Gs/s on two channels, and 5Gs/s on one channel.
