Not trying to steal the thread, but would you (all?) be so kind and try to measure 1 Ohm resistor with 10mm of wire,
like here
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/strange-behaviour-with-my-de-5000/I measured ~ 1cm wire in series with 1 ohm resistor. And I get a reading of ~ 0.15uH (Ls) with 1 OHM (ESR), instead of ~ 10nH (Ls) and 1 OHM (ESR). However if I measure only the wire (without resistor), the DE-5000 show ~ 13nH.
and tell me (us) please, what your results are?
I am about buying this Der EE, but I must admit that this behaviour I do not like at all.
I hope that maybe this was solved?
No one knows whether there exist other values of resistance and other lengths of wire cause same false results.
I realize that it is not typical problem, but why e.g. Applent AT826 does not suffer with this? Or Applent has other hidden "features" like this?
