High speed ADC and DAC overclocking: Who does it?
« on: June 25, 2018, 09:04:08 am »
In test equipment, I have seen high speed ADCs and DACs being overclocked which includes the FeelTech FY6600 arbitrary waveform generator (250 MSPS with a DAC904 powered by +3.3V having a maximum rate of 165 MSPS @ +3.3V).
But in a Hantek DSO3000A (1 GSPS), there is no evidence that the ADC (HMCAD1511) is overclocked but the waveform generator DAC (DAC902 powered by 3.3V) might be; in the Hantek HDG2000 (250 MSPS with an AD9747), there is no evidence of overclocking.

So therefore, I am curious about other test equipment manufacturers (and models thereof) who overclock high speed ADCs and DACs.
If it runs on Linux, there is some hackability in it.
