Broken Rigol DSA815-TG

I have had my Rigol DSA815-TG for about nine months. I have been very pleased with it. This past week it appears to have developed a failure. A purple line appeared (like when you create limits) but this line is straight vertical and centered and goes to each edge of the display. It first appears when booting, before any other diplay items appear. All functions appear to operate normally. I am about ready to send it back to Rigol for repair but I thought I would consult with the forum before shipping it off.

It seems like a pixel column on the display failed. This can either happen due to mechanical stress or a manufacturing problem (bad contact between column driver ic and display glass).
