Budget scopes and intensity graded display

I am trying to choose between the Siglent SDS1102CML @ $440 and the Rigol DS1054Z @ $560.  Overall I like the features of the Rigol, but the price I get here in Ontario is higher, even though it's the lower bandwidth model.

Graduated display is something I really want though.  I've seen Dave's video on the Rigol DS1104Z and he shows the intensity graded display for that, and the operation of the Rigol looks fine for my needs.  There are many comments and threads covering the Siglent SDS1102CML, but I can't find any mention of the intensity graded display.  The very useful oscilloscope spreadsheet indicates that this model has a 256-level grading.  Anyone have any comments or screenshots or pointers to reviews etc that discuss the intensity graded display feature on the Siglent?

FWIW, the Rigol can be unlocked to 100MHz, double the memory (it's already on the board), and make the optional software features unlimited. Should help improve it's value. 

Search for riglol 1.03d, and you should easily find both the site and instructions (it's easy, and only takes a few minutes).

gardner, the SDS1102CML doesn't have an intensity graded display.
Siglent's recently released SDS1102X model does.
