I've been wanting to get an oscilloscope for awhile now, and have finally decided on the Rigol DS1054Z after hearing so many good things about it on this forum. Reading this forum has been really helpful in my research. I would like to buy the scope from TEquipment. Would someone be able to send me the TEquipment discount code? I appreciate your help!

I noticed the registration date.

And in all that time, you'd only asked for the code. As per lurking, you don't need to register to view the content, including photos.

Please understand, the newer requirements are about encouraging active participation as well as keeping the code off of coupon sites via aligned self-interest. It doesn't take a lot. For example, you could find the introduction thread to get started. Helps to get over any nervousness about posting, and then it just flows when you find others you're interested in or start your own.

Hi,

I have more of a software background, but I have been playing with RPIs and Arduinos through different small home automation electronic projects. I have been reading through the Art of Electronics for a few months and I have a lot of new project ideas, but the lack of a scope and a good PSU is becoming a limiting factor. To sum it up, I think I am now ready to start acquiring more equipment to push further. I would really appreciate to get the Tequipment member discount. Thanks!

In regard to a PSU, I'd suggest including quality used linear supplies to your consideration as you can get them for pennies on the dollar of what they went for new. Meaning they can come in cheaper than the inexpensive units currently available IME.  :-+

Generally speaking, your funds will go further by purchasing multiple output supplies (dual or triple channel vs. single channel models).

With the recent closure of ITT, their former T&M gear is still turning up on eBay at very decent prices. Take a GW Instek GPC-3020 for example; triple output supply shipped for under $100 with both CV & CC operation (2x channels @ 30V & 2A, and a fixed 5V & 3A). There's other brands as well, including top tier names such as HP/Agilent, Lambda, and Systron-Donner (not all inclusive; latter brands *can* offer better deals IME as they're not quite as well known/popular).

Few others:

Nanofrog,
Thank-you! for pointing me in the direction of the GW Insek.

May I have the code please?

I'm going to be hacking a laser measuring tape, and I think the time has come to pick up the Saleae and feed my test equipment addiction.

PM sent.

Please note that TEquipment is located in the US. They do ship internationally, but check to see if the total cost is actually less expensive than buying from a source closer to home.

Good luck.  :)

Strange thing IME is, I've been able to get hand tools from Israel for less than other sources. Including those located in the country of manufacture.  :-//

I think I posted in the wrong thread earlier today, since deleted it.

I last used the code in 2015 to buy my 1054Z. I am probably going to buy a new CO2 datalogger, since the last one appears to have been lost in a move from classroom to classroom.

I'm assuming the code is not the same as it was back then, so I'd appreciate it if someone would PM the current one to me.  Thank you!
