I'll be updating the 3055 thread when all info for the new model is on the websites, maybe you can add your findings there.

Hello,  I'm going to buy a new scope in the $400 range (currently have a Tek TDS220 and it's time to upgrade). I narrowed it down to one if the following:

Siglent SDS1202X-E -- 7" display, 2ch, 200mhz, $379
Siglent SDS1102X -- 8" display, 2ch, 100mhz, $424
Rigol DS1054Z -- 7" display, 4ch, 50mhz, $399

Someone in this thread mentioned the 200 vs 50 kHz diff btwn the DS1054Z and the SDS1202X-E as making the choice easy. Is it that cut and dry? Specs are better on the SDS1202X-E but the Rigid is a proven value and can be hacked. Thoughts? Also, how do i go about getting a discount code? Thanks!
