Extech 470 calibration adjustment procedure?
« on: September 24, 2018, 04:23:17 pm »
Hi

Does anybody have any information how to calibrate an Extech 470 multimeter? Especially the 400 mA current measurement range?
Or does anybode have a service manual with calibration procedure?

The device really has many potentionmeters! I count 16; VR1 to VR16.  :-[

I've had to replace the 500 mA fuse as well as resistor R13 (99 Ohm, 0,5% tolerance) because I made a short circuit during AC measurement (in the 400 mA range). If I replace the resistor, I think I have to re-calibrate this range.

I would be grateful for every help.

Regards
Roman

If you send an email to support@extech.com with the model number of the meter and request a calibration procedure they should provide one for you.

Unless someone on here has already done that and can provide it.

Thanks, threephase

I wrote to support@extech.com as well as to service@extech.com. Maybe they are very busy, but I didn't hear anything from them.
Maybe I have to be much more patient.

If anybody anyway has this calibration procedure; I wouldn't have to wait...   :-+

They took three days to respond to me when I had an issue with an MG302 and would respond every couple of days as the issue progressed. So not the speediest.

Kind regards
