Flir multimeters - who is the OEM?
« on: September 22, 2018, 09:31:48 am »
I have been looking at the range of Flir multimeters (DM 62, DM66, DM92) as I want a cheaper toss around meter for a spare for the workshop and I already have plenty of high end meters, I assume that the Flir meters are probably re-badgers from a Chinese OEM, does anyone know tho makes their multimeters?

The Flir IM75 that I have is all branded Flir inside on the PCBs, it is also a high quality build and not the norm you get for a rebadged meter. It doesn't look like CEM do 'their version' of the IM75 so it may be bespoke and as 001 says the multimeters may be clones.

As Extech are owned by Flir, the Extech MG302 meter I have is definitely a CEM rebadge and is even marked inside as a DT9985 which is the CEM manufactured meter. It also looks like DiLog have their version of this as the DL9307, that is also badged inside as the DT9985 model.
