Fluke 8922A RMS Sensor
« on: March 22, 2014, 02:27:54 am »
Hello everyone!

I recently acquired a Fluke 8922A True RMS Multimeter. It seems the RMS to DC converter IC U1 has gone bad.

As per the manual, I should see around 100 ohms on its input pins however I'm reading 1K to ground leading me to believe one of the input heater resistors have blown open.

Anyone know where I can find a replacement for this IC? According to the manual it's listed as a RMS SENSOR Part# 433839. I know it's probably a lost cause since this seems to be a proprietary Fluke IC but I'm not giving up hope yet.

Ebay, or specialty surplus sellers may have them.
Did yoy try doing a google search of the part number?

Did you find a replacement IC?
Or have you still the unit?
I recently obtained a Fluke 8921A from which someone removed IC U205.
This is the mail controller of the unit.
