Hi,
so my lecroy 7200A can make a hardcopy of what's on the screen (hardcopy button)
it can send it to a printer over GPIB, parallel port or serial port.

It can also send one to a floppy drive. great! but how can i view it? maybe convert it into something more like an image file
can't find much...

though opening an HCP file shows a lot of text, probably coordinates (makes sense since it is supposed to be used by a plotter)

If it is HPGL google for HPGL converter, lots of possibilities.

thanks, Since posting i was already investigating that option. I have a list of several plotters to choose from, most of them from HP. and i did select an HP one so it should be an HPGL but no viewer / converter i tried could open it. i'll go on investigating..
