Hi guys,
I was always under the impression that the DSA1000A series are the newer and better signal analyzators than the DSA800 series.However, on the Batronix website, the pricing is the following:
DSA832-TG....5990€
DSA1030A-TG....4250€
So what's going on here? Shouldn't DSA1030A be cheaper than DSA832?

But, but, it actually is cheaper, or not? ;-)
At first look the DSA8xx have better noise floor specs than the DSA10xx, but this may be a trick with specs. It is possible that a newer design is cheaper to produce - because optimization and stuff. Maybe Rigol has not yet learned the usual tricks of product/price segmentation?
In the end you will have to compare the complete specs and, ideally, get devices to actually test to make a reasoned decision.

The DSA832 has better SSB phase noise specs, it is -98dBc/Hz at 10kHz. The DAS1030A has 88dBc/Hz.
The DSA815 has -80dBc/Hz at 10kHz
So yes the DSA832 is better, however I think they are overpriced.
