My first soldering Station
« on: December 21, 2016, 12:13:39 pm »
Hi all,
So I am planning to buy my first soldering station prime candidates are as follows .

1. Hakko FX888D
2. DSS36
3. generic Cheap 936 or 938

Being in India process its own challenges , I got the quote for a Hakko FX888D close to 230$ where as its actual cost is <100$ as i saw on amazon.com the price difference is mainly due to dealer margin , import duties in india etc etc . So i went ahead and found some cheaper solution like the DSS36 which cost roughly 120$ and within my reach. After talking to the seller i got to know that this is a chinese OEM manufacture. Does anybody have a idea how good or bad this DSS36 actually is ???
Find attached datasheet .or some one could point to some cheaper and better alternative & I mainly do 0603,1206 SOIC8 some 64-Pin QFP and gerneric TH soldering.

thanks and Regards
Aniket
