Was wondering where the signal went...



On the left, the current USA branded Amphenol BNC tee offering made in who knows where.

On the right, decades old real USA made Amphenol BNC tee... that has been used in the lab for decades.

Newer, current latest and greatest is always better no?

I don't think there's any screwing involved apart from the fact that the op is screwed...

Looks like the center conductor for the male connector was either press-fit or maybe spot-welded into the bottom piece and then the male connector was press-fit into the cylinder.

     Too funny!   I was testing a new meter last week and had a T fail in a similar way.  The side pulled out.   Pulled it out of the trash for you.  To be fair, I do not know the brand on this one.  Looks cheap compared with some of the others I use.

Yea, had to share this one. 
Dead out of the package too.

Recently got a hp 5348A counter/power meter and wondered why input two (BNC) did not count. Problem turned out to be this BNC tee. 5348A works fine.

Now back to those decades old made in USA adapters that continue to function as they should.

No point buying from Amphenol unless you need things like RoHS documentation.  These days, they are just buying Chinese crap and relabeling it.  You can do that yourself on eBay and save the markup.
