LCR T4 bug!

I have a LCR T4 tester and today I found a bug and I was wondering if other people have this.
When I place a TIP122 transistor it will say it is a PNP / NPN depending on the way I put it in.
Do more people have this?

The T4's firmware is a modified version of an older k-firmware. The current firmwares (k & m) detect base-emitter resistors and also freewheeling diodes on the same substrate as the transistor. Please see
https://github.com/svn2github/transistortester
for current firmwares and documentation.
