@ice-tea: what is the meaning of the blue tape? It affects a device which I would be interested in (depending on subtype and options).

The R&S kit without the screen, is that a cover, or an option for no-screen purely GPIB/LAN control?

Nothing or so it seems. Maybe an aide to help them sort different orders out or something. Some of these units are not ready (ie need service) others are fine and they all came with blue tape.

GPIB control only

Carried it all up two flights of stairs. Including those HP8642B's that weigh over 30kg each.

Allow me to correct myself here... The frontpanel buttons still work and make it pretty easy to control the unit. Just no display to tell you what you set it to :D

Just put one on the bay. Outside of eBay it's 10% less. If you can do a bank transfer iso Paypal, that's another 3%.

21% VAT is included, if you have a VAT ID that can be dropped as well.

@Ice-Tea:
The two generators in the left side of the picture: are they 8647 or 8648, if the latter, A,B, or C?
which options are fitted and what is their status?
and finally: how much do they cost?

They are C's. Haven't checked them yet (don't know options either yet). I know one has a dud screen but I have a spare for that so if that's it I don't expect much trouble.

Sold one last year for 1k€. Same disclaimer about ebay, paypal fees and VAT.

C would be right on spot. The option which I do not need is the OXCO, as this one is refittable or can be circumvented by using ext. ref.. Of the others, as much as possible - with 1E6 most needed and 1EA second. Preferred display would be VF.
So give me an update when you are done with it and before you list it elsewhere.
I need a RF signal generator which I can lift alone (and afford).

Dug one up. Seems to do what it says on the tin. Only 1E5, though...

If PWM is important: also have an IFR2025, it seems to support PWM. It's at least as portable but only does 2.5GHz.

@Ice-tea: any chance to open the front of one of those display-less SMIQs you have and take a picture of what it looks like inside? I'm planning on doing a TFT conversion for the SMIQ I have here and I'm wondering what is missing from the display-less SMIQs you have. This will be a long term plan though but maybe I can turn this into a product.

There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

Meh. Rather not, as the other options are not refittable. I can peruse the SML from my work and someone is throwing SME's at the people, so if it were urgent...
I will try to find a 8048 in the all included config.

I wanted something to repair for fun so I picked up a GW Instek GOS-6013C for $60 total on ebay. Sadly it arrived in perfect working condition, so I don't have anything to fix now :P
