@Ice-Tea:
The two generators in the left side of the picture: are they 8647 or 8648, if the latter, A,B, or C?
which options are fitted and what is their status?
and finally: how much do they cost?

They are C's. Haven't checked them yet (don't know options either yet). I know one has a dud screen but I have a spare for that so if that's it I don't expect much trouble.

Sold one last year for 1k€. Same disclaimer about ebay, paypal fees and VAT.

C would be right on spot. The option which I do not need is the OXCO, as this one is refittable or can be circumvented by using ext. ref.. Of the others, as much as possible - with 1E6 most needed and 1EA second. Preferred display would be VF.
So give me an update when you are done with it and before you list it elsewhere.
I need a RF signal generator which I can lift alone (and afford).

Dug one up. Seems to do what it says on the tin. Only 1E5, though...

If PWM is important: also have an IFR2025, it seems to support PWM. It's at least as portable but only does 2.5GHz.

@Ice-tea: any chance to open the front of one of those display-less SMIQs you have and take a picture of what it looks like inside? I'm planning on doing a TFT conversion for the SMIQ I have here and I'm wondering what is missing from the display-less SMIQs you have. This will be a long term plan though but maybe I can turn this into a product.

Meh. Rather not, as the other options are not refittable. I can peruse the SML from my work and someone is throwing SME's at the people, so if it were urgent...
I will try to find a 8048 in the all included config.

HP 8714 VNAs on the bottom?
Nice find, if they work or are easily fixable.

I wanted something to repair for fun so I picked up a GW Instek GOS-6013C for $60 total on ebay. Sadly it arrived in perfect working condition, so I don't have anything to fix now :P

Yeah, another boring handheld DMM.  For $100 (which is what it sells for around here) this is a mediocre example of the art; however, when you stumble upon a mint example in a pawn shop for $30 with case and leads, not so bad.  I checked it with my voltage and resistance "standards" and it's acceptably close; something to keep in my travel kit when helping out a friend or shopping for higher end stuff.  ;)

It also has low-Z mode, a 40 mΩ range, relative, min/max, µA and separate low/high current jacks, which is decent for a cheapie.

This is the top panel. I'm interested in what is inside the front panel model (where the display and the buttons are).

Can you remove the CPU board to take a picture of what is underneath it?

I forgot. You should remove that plate as well (just pull it out). There should be a board in there for the front panel keys. I'm interested to see how the display-less models are prepared for a display.

Thanks! It seems they just left the display and the backlight inverter out. The idea I have for a TFT conversion is to connect it parallel to the existing front panel board. The ribbon cable between the front panel and CPU board seems long enough to add an extra connector.
