DG1022 -vs- DG1022U (received the latter)

I recently purchased a Rigol DG1022 waveform generator from a vendor Amazon.  When I opened the box I discovered a DG1022U instead.  Default language was Mandarin.  Instructions were all Mandarin.  It took a bit of fiddling to figure out how to change the language to English. 

Should I be concerned about receiving this model?  Anyone know if I will have warranty support in the USA if there is an issue?  I put in an email to Rigol but haven't heard back yet.

I plan on sending it back because if the DG1022U has no differences or concerns, I will just purchase this directly from China and save $100 from the Amazon price.

The original DG1022 also only had support for two language, Chinese and Chinglish.

If I didn't lose count, then the DG1022U is at least the fourth hardware revision. DG1022 ver. 1 hardware, DG1022 ver. 2 hardware (a silent, incompatible update), DG1022A (slightly higher frequency), and now the DG1022U. Since there were some incompatibilities in the past I wouldn't assume the U is a 100% replacement.

I just got off the phone with Rigol here in the US and brought up the issue.

He did confirm that the unit is not being sold in North America.   

He also stated that if it were sent in for service, they would not honor the warranty and would charge for any service that the unit needed.

The advertised specs of the DB1022U are the exact same as the DG1022A.  Internally, who knows what is different though.

So bottom line is that I am sending this back and now have to decide if I want to save $100 by buying another directly from China with the understanding that I will not have a warranty.
