Tektronix TDS3012B-NV floppy drive?
« on: August 25, 2021, 04:02:34 pm »
The floppy drive doesn't work anymore and needs to be replaced.  Is it a standard IBM floppy drive and are the connections same as a PC?
Thanks
Hank

seems to be the TEAC-FD-04HF-2300 floppy,  it's supposed to be wtih an fpc connector

TDS 3012 wiki,  some manuals and a service manual,  not sure it's complete

It's a laptop floppy drive, so thinner with a different connector than the ones used in desktop PCs but otherwise similar. There are at least some variations, I swapped parts between an older and newer TDS3000 a while back and found the floppy drive from one wouldn't fit in the front panel of the other but I don't recall the exact details.
