Looks like you have 10 years for the 117. I think the 114,5,7 all are 3 years now :(

You are correct. That's also true for the Fluke 233 and the $650 Fluke 1587 insulation meter. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Column headings are explained in the notes found on the first heading row.

Very helpful; I was about to ask what they all mean. Only problem is that they're practically unreadable without this macro:
Quote
Code: [Select]
Sub FitComments()
'Updateby20140325
Dim xComment As Comment
For Each xComment In Application.ActiveSheet.Comments
    xComment.Shape.TextFrame.AutoSize = True
Next
End Sub
I refuse to use AD's LTspice or any other "free" software whose license agreement prohibits benchmarking it (which implies it's really bad) or publicly disclosing the existence of the agreement. Fortunately, I haven't agreed to that one, and those terms are public already.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
I changed spreadsheet editor recently on a new computer and files saved with an .xls extension have text boxes corrupted, unless viewed with WPS Office (https://www.wps.com/wps-office-personal).
The next version will be edited on MS Excel and cells should have the proper comment box size when viewed with MS Excel.

As much as he might like to, Wytnucls can't be expected to offer advice on any equipment that he does not have, maybe based on comparison of specs yes, but you can do that for yourself.
There's a number of threads of various brands and models, use the search button to find them.

Here's the Siglent SDM3055 5 1/2 digit thread for your study:

They are new brands in the bench top market, competing mostly with Rigol at the low end.
If you can get past some teething problems with software and chinglish, they'll probably do an acceptable job at a more affordable price than mainstream bench meters, while using the same eye candy TFT color screen.
That's a bonus for someone on a budget.
Little in-depth information is available for the Owon meter, but the scant published specs seem similar to the ones found on the Siglent machine.

Perhaps being a new product, I couldn't find very much information on the Owon in regards to manuals, dealers or pricing, they do list a WiFi option which may interest some people and initial indications are a 3 year warranty on both the Owon and the Siglent meters, as yet I haven't compared the specifications but they do look close, it might be a matter of waiting for reviews and such on this one.   :-\ :-DMM

Edit: Updated pictures and the quick start guide for the Owon XDM3051 is now available and linked below, a big thanks to Oritech Australia for their assistance.

It looks like Siglent have added a new bench multimeter to the SDM range, the SDM3045X with 4.5 digits, 60000 count, 0.01% basic DC accuracy and very similar to the 5.5 digit SDM-3055 in feature set.   :-DMM

Trio Test and Measurement.

The spreadsheet doesn't list 4.5 digit bench meters, unless they have a HiRes mode also.

Sorry my mistake, I can shift that last post elsewhere if you like.   ;D

Also I'm not sure if this unit qualifies for the list but I recently acquired one of these TTI 1906 meters, 5.5 digit, 210000 count.   :-DMM

Many thanks for your great effort.   :-+

Thanks for this! Good info!!  :-+

In case anybody else had the same problem as I did reading the comments (I have Excel 2013), I ran a quick macro to autosize all the comments so they're legible. It's the same data as the latest version on the original post as of this posting.  I marked it April 2016 to be clear.

Hioki DT4282 has both Hold and Autohold-Feature. What I can tell from the Hioki 2016 Cataloge the whole DT428x and DT425x Range has Display Hold and Auto Hold Feature.

The DT422x and DT421x are missing the "Auto Hold" feature.

Source: DT4282 lying next to me & Hioki 2016 Field Measuring Instruments brochure.

Edit: And the Amprobe 38XR-A has at least a "Hold"-button included. At least the EU-Version I bought recently.

What comments?  The info in the cells?
Can you change the cell colors?  I cannot read black font on dark blue background.  I would appreciate if you can lighten up the blue a little.  For example Row 2.
If not, is it possible I can get an editable version so I can change the cell colors?
thanks

The file is editable. You might have to click the "Enable Editing" button in excel (usually comes up in a yellow banner underneath the ribbon) because excel doesn't usually trust files downloaded from the internet.

Comments are in every cell with a red triangle in the top right. Hover over one of those cells and you will see text. I just autosized those because not all of the text showed up in the pop-up window before, at least in my version of Excel.

I don't see the color issue on my screen, but in excel, you can use Ctrl+H (find and replace). Then click Options > Next to "Find what" click Format > Choose Format From Cell > and click the cell with the color you can't read. Then you can change the format you want to replace it with by clicking "Format" that is next to "Replace with" and when you're finished, click Replace All.

This may be slightly different in older excel versions, but I remember it was still possible to find and replace based on the cell format.

At Brymen brand at line BM867 in collumn "T" there is a "v" sign. What does this "v" means? It has temperature measurement capability?

Iam before of buying one like this meter, the price is affordable, it has a lot of funcionality, but I realy need to have temperature capabilities (not needed to be very accurate).
