Interesting! Seems to have most of the functionality of the SDS series, except large memory in XY mode. I wonder if it's faster than the benchtop version. Also there's nothing about it on their Chinese site.

Selecting voltage and timebase settings from a (scrolling) pop-up menu...yuk!  typical clueless Chinese UI design.
Youtube channel:Taking wierd stuff apart. Very apart.
Mike's Electric Stuff: High voltage, vintage electronics etc.
Day Job: Mostly LEDs

Any more news on this device yet ? It's starting to be available from a few suppliers.

I agree with Mike about the UI for timebase, but one of the interesting possibilities is to write better software for this class of device - maybe it could be as smooth and usable as Saleae's logic analyser interface.

I'm also considering the Owon VDS series now - as Hantek 60x2BE turned out to be crap and Hantex 2xxx looks overpriced compared to Owon VDS.

The software in the video above looks promising but not as feature-filled as with desktop DSOs.

Looking at the specs (input sensitivity, sample depth, sampling rates), my hope is that the VDS2062 and VDS3102 share a lot of circuitry with the SDS6062 / SDS7102.

As there are no software downloads for the VDS, it would be interesting if someone who owns it could compare USB drivers and PC software between VDS and SDS series.

And what about build quality / hardware internals?

Owon have tell me that maximum waveform update rate is 130 frame per second.
(it do not read in specs)

Software seems to be here: http://www.owon.com.cn/service_down.asp?SortID_1=1
But you have to register.

I'm also looking into this DSO because it's quite cheap and PC based.
Found good offer here: http://www.tigal.com/product/3644 that is 287€ with VAT.

But lack of any English site with regular software updates is a bit scary to me because software is everything with PC based products...
