Sencore LC102 Display Shows "Short"

I have an LC102 that I purchased new many many moons ago.  I think I had it calibrated once by Sencore but other than that one time, it's been working fine.  All of a sudden the display reads "Short" when testing a capacitor or zeroing "Open".  I found L1 stuck, replaced it but that made no difference.  I read 51 Ohms at the BNC so it's not an input short.
