I've had an old Nicolet Pro oscilloscope for a while now. Just today I thought to track down the software utilities for converting saved trace data. It seems Nicolet was bought out long ago, but their old web page is viewable through the Internet Archive. The Internet Archive is a fabulous resource, we're fortunate to have it. Its a bit nostalgic to view the web as it used to look.
The Nicolet saves trace data in a WFT binary file format. It looks like the "utilities.exe" file has programs supporting the 310, 3091, 4094, and Pro series scopes. I've tried them and found it easy to convert a WFT file to ASCII and then load the converted file into a spreadsheet.
Apparently, programs can be written and loaded on to the Pro series with a language called TACT. Unfortunately the TACT.zip file wasn't archived.
I hope this will be useful to other owners of Nicolet oscilloscopes.
