Oscilloscope SSD and Gotek upgrade

I was thinking about upgrading the HDD and floppy drive of my TDS7104.

Has anyone here tried the Gotek floppy emulator with HxC or FlashFloppy firmware?

Any experience between SATA SDD with IDE adapter versus PATA SSD (like KingSpec from eBay)?
