I just got one of these scopes, XDS3064AE. It has some nice features: large touch screen, battery. But there are also a number of limitations I found based on casual inspection:
1. "14-bit" resolution: For a few settings I tested the resolution was 4096 or 8192 levels, so at most 13 bits. I haven't found a setting that gives 14 bits. The noise of the ADC (at maximum 10V/div setting) is about 11-12 ENOB.
2. Acquisition average mode is very slow, like 1-2 updates per second. Plus, it starts with an offset, so the first few averages are useless.
3. Among possible measurements there is no "standard deviation". One can calculate the standard deviation by subtracting in quadrature RMS and mean. But the result seems to depend on the number of points in the waveform, it shouldn't be the case.
4. There is a digital filter function, but it only works if one channel is displayed, no other channels can be used at the same time. It also has a bug that I reported to them.
So overall its an OK deal for the money ($500), but could use some refinement.
