Pacific Measurements or Wavetek 1038-N10/NS20 & NS201
« on: March 16, 2019, 12:10:44 am »
Hi,

Received a Pacific Measurements D14 with a 1038-NS20 module after some rough shipping and Wavetek 1038-NS201 and have a 1038-N10 and two detectors on the way.

I have no information regarding other than the OPERATIONAL HANDBOOK that I'll post what I photographed so far as an attachment to this post.

I'm planning to update the information on the Tekwiki site eventually once I photograph and/or scan what documents I've purchased.  I notice there is no reference to the D14 on the Pacific Measurements 1038 web page. http://w140.com/tekwiki/wiki/Pacific_Measurements_1038

I'm wondering, does anyone have any suggestions, questions, comments and/or information relating to this system or similar systems?

Walter has been a great help as his site is the only reference regarding any detail other than a few messages in another EEVblog Forum post: https://www.sphere.bc.ca/test/rf-analyzers.html   (Note he just posted some equipment in the groups.io for stuff day: https://groups.io/g/TekScopes/message/155375)

https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/tektronix-5000-series-(1970-1990-era)-shenanigans/msg1264368/#msg1264368

Anyone know anything about these systems or have any information or experience to share?

I'm wondering more-so issues to look out for, maintenance, tips/tricks and anything to consider.

I'd also like to find a MAINTENANCE and SCHEMATICS Manual for the N10/NS20 and NS201 as well as for the Detectors since I'm thinking I can make the detectors.  Looks like the cable that is missing is a RJ21 Telco 50 cable since has screws and therefore most likely not a SCSI1.  I didn't measure the details yet... though just going by looks.

Thanks for your time in advance and I appreciate your feedback!  This is a big systems analysis capabilities jump for me on the bench, and if safe in the field, if I can get operational and in spec... whatever that spec is???

I'm trying to open source share and still gather information regarding the Pacific Measurements or Wavetek 1038 system.

I updated the Tekwiki regarding, have more to scan and figured I'd reach out to this group to see if we have any of the missing pieces of the puzzle of details I'm trying to find.

Please reply here or on one of the groups.io threads where I posted.

I created a FB page also if anyone is interested and wants to show off their Pacific Measurements and/or Wavetek systems:

Thanks in advance for your time, consideration and support!   :horse:
