Review Siglent SHS-1602 isolated scopemeter
« on: June 27, 2017, 07:52:22 pm »
I have this scope here from Eleshop, they were so kind to give it to me for a few weeks to just play with it. After using it a week I decided to make a you tube review, something I wanted for a longer time and this was a nice chance to do really it. I asked them if it was OK to do a review and a teardown and they had no problem with that.

I do not get paid for it, I'm absolute not a fanboy of Chinese gear but I did my best to stay objective. That turned out to be not so difficult because against all odds I start to like this scope. OK, at 1300 incl VAT it is also
not the bottom of the range.

I made a page on my website with photo's and information and 2 youtube videos.
Part 1 the review
part 2 a demo of using an isolated scope and the teardown.

I must say, now I have done this, my admiration for Dave grew. He makes it to look so easy. I made several tutorials and webpages over electronics but this is 10 times as hard. Writing English is more easy as talking to a camara (with no-one in the room).
And the editing, pfff, my laptop broke down so now I used a Toshiba Tecra S1 on linux a friend gave me. That is a pentium M with 512MB memory. The whole review took me almost a week  :phew:

I have a lot to learn about vlogging but it was fun doing it and I hope you like it.
