just picked up what seems to be a military grade ultra stable 5 MHZ oven controlled crystal oscillator FTS-1000A . similar to this ( http://www.gigatest.net/datum/1000b-r2.pdf .

my question is.. How do i power it up? what voltage do i give it?
the connector is 9-pin d-subminiature connector. similar to the one used for RS-232 i guess. i don't know what pin is what. i really don't want to blow it up.

This may help or not. There may be different sub versions, so be careful. (Do some careful checks first that pin numbers match, do not blow up this treasure.)

If all looks match then

You need power 24V and 26V.
1 GND  |  8 +26V    (electronics)
5 GND  |  7 +24V    (oven heating)

I drive a LEC (low el. consumption) BEV car. Smoke exhaust pipes - go to museum. In Finland quite all electric power is made using nuclear, wind, solar and water.
