Title: Rigol DS1000Z add Signal generator mod

Lets start to discuss about DS1000z conversion to  DS1000z -S. Can anyone tried to add signal generator daughter board?
Is it possible to flash  DS1000z -S firmware to DS1000z  osciloscope?

The firmware is the same - but where are you going to get the daughterboard from?

P.S. If the firmware is same on both DSO then why on  DS1000z there is no Signal generator icons? Maybe it will appear after inserting daughterboard?

Hey, you are the one who claims to have a source for the daughterboard -- you better figure it out...  :P

Seriously though: You claim to have one part of the required solution, but are not telling us.
But at the same time, you expect the forum to help you with the other part of the solution?!

no need dremel or even the cheap dremel clone. just a paper cutter knife. the hole is already there nice and square.

The hole is easy, you still a button though that hopefully doesn't look too ugly.

still, a paper knife with some dried silicon is the key. the rest is time and perseverance.
