Rigol DS1000z Firmware Status?
« on: June 16, 2014, 02:47:44 pm »
I read in another thread that an issue with the DS1000z series is that while moving the horizontal or vertical offsets, the waveform stops updating.   It only shows a frozen trace while you're moving it around until you let it sit for .5 seconds or something.  This sounds like a problem the DS1052E had, and I'm wondering if they have patched the firmware so that it updates while you're changing offsets now.  It's very useful for me when looking for a pattern of a semi-infrequent known event an unknown time from the trigger.   Does anyone know?

Just want to check before I pull the trigger on upgrading from an 1102E to a 1000Z.  Thanks!

It is not fixed/changed in V2.01SP5. Perhaps they did change it in V4.
But frankly, I don't have a problem with this issue, the trace moves instantly while you rotate the knob.

I really wish they had some sort of patch notes that I could read through...  :-//
