Good price, $399USD, free shipping, cant beat that. It was shipped from China even though the listing said otherwise, no big deal it came fast anyhow.

This is my first oscilloscope and wow am I impressed, how did I ever live without one. Im still getting the hang of things but the rigol is very easy to use and is intuitive. I only refer to the manual when I need an explanation on what a word means.

At the moment Im using it to better understand Diseqc 22khz burst commands and dont know how I could ever do without it. The storage memory is excellent, I have no problem capturing 54ms of data from the bursts.

This is by far my new favorite tool.

Maybe he still having bad experience with his stiff lip and at the same time has to keep up moderating.
Its normal for a newcomer who jump in and shout in excitement. And then all of us... Shrug

nah I'm fine. It's just that this section was created so that users could do a review of a product, hopefully it would be understood what that is. just posting a couple of lines about how pleased you are to have your hands on a "x" machine is a waste of time and clutters the board, which is a pity, if someone is that over the moon about the rigol they can post in one of the many threads and in case no one ever noticed Dave has fully reviewed it so unless you going to start showing us diagrams and software your wasting your breath

Simon, don't be so hard.
The post says nothing new, and I agree in the fact one should participate to other's threads before opening a new one, unless he has a big news to share.
But your words can sound offending, and you're a moderator...and he is a newbie. Is it this the welcome we are giving to him?
IMHO, an unuseful thread dies due to the lack of posts, and one takes the lesson.
