Hi All,
I am wanting to buy a Rigol 4 channel scope - am a hobbyist.
Have been reading a lot about Rigol DS1054Z, DS1074Z and DS1104Z and bumping the first two up to 100MHz.
What I have not been able to find is, if the hardware in all of them is the same and that the software selects the MHz.
Since budget is an issue, can I get a DS1054Z and bump it up to a DS1104Z?
Or would it make more sense to get a DS1074Z and bump it up to a DS1104Z
At the moment I do not need 100MHz, but I like things to be future proof.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks
Martin

Hi Martin.
Unfortunately you are asking some questions who are already discussed over and over again. ,-)
Please use the search function and have a look ...
The short answer is: Yes, it is the same hardware. Yes, it is possible. Yes, it is your own decision.
