Rigol MSO2000 and MSO4000 Logic Analyzer Calibration.

I asked Rigol if the MSO2000 & MSO4000 (they share the same LA parts) had a self calibration for the logic analyzer and this is the answer I got:

Sorry for the delay. I was working with the product line for an answer.

There is no self cal for the MSO4000 & MSO2000 LA probes unlike the MSO1000Z LA probe which has an active head.

What does he mean the that MSO1000Z has an active head? And also do you see it as a problem that the LA can't be calibrated?
