Siglent SDS 1104X-E Sampling issue
« on: October 21, 2018, 08:50:14 am »
Hello, beginner here.

I noticed that with two channels active the 1104x-e halves the sampling rate to 500M (and memory depth), although I thought that this would only happen with three or more active channels. What am I missing?Being a newbie sucks ass sometimes Firmware is updated to latest version.

Cheers.

When needing 2 channels at the max sampling rate and memory depth they each need to be used on each of the ADC's.
So any combo of the following:
1+3, 1+4, 2+3, 2+4.
Using any 3rd channel will halve the mem depth and sampling rate.

This is the standard setup with dual interleaved ADC DSO's. Now you know and aren't likely to forget.  :)
Enjoy.

Oh, and BTW, the memory is configured 14 Mpts times 2, that is, each ADC has 14 Mpts of memory support.

I drive a LEC (low el. consumption) BEV car. Smoke exhaust pipes - go to museum. In Finland quite all electric power is made using nuclear, wind, solar and water.
