ROHDE SCHWARZ - SFU
« on: December 07, 2023, 07:21:48 am »
I bought an older SFU unit from ebay, which I managed to get working. But it has two bugs that I would like to fix.

1. After unplugging it at boot time, it prints: CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded. Is the DC battery on the mainboard faulty? Or something else? Where is the battery? I have cleaned the unit, but the battery is nowhere to be found.

2. A rubber button just below the screen is not working. Is it possible to buy a new set of buttons or an old front panel somewhere? I have had no success on eBay!

Is there any *pdf service documentation for this unit? If so, I would be grateful if you could send it to me by post: oliverwirthg@aol.com

Thank you very much!

The CMOS battery on these R&S units is on the FMR Module. It's right behind the front panel/screen.

Thank you so much for your help! I found the battery in the place you posted. Standard CR2032, I replaced it immediately. If anyone knows of a rubber keypad for RS SFU, let me know!
