What is your HW version and what it was before version 5.xxx
I have 3.01.01.31R17 as topic read CNL model.

But now careful!

If you are really sure you want do it, I can PM link to you for this file.
(you know, after new FW published Siglent take old out from share - think it)

I do not know if it can downgrade bac to old!

If you do it, you do it with alone and understand that I do not give any sign that it can do.
Only what I can say is that I do not recommend.

What is problem with new FW?
This was installed by factory or you upgrade?

If you have upgraded it, did you follow upgrade instructions --- exactly.
(procedure have changed after 3.xxx versions (user manual is old), now it is 2 phase process, first upgrade .ADS and after shut off take USB out, reboot, put USB back and upgrade .CNF. Instructions file is in upgrade package.)

I have an ATTEN ADS1102CAL dso
I have updated with the latest firmware from Siglent
In two steps as you (rf-loop) mentionated.
In the second step is a .CFG file not .CNF
Why I did it?
It has some problems:
1.) some garbidge pixels in ETS mode
2.) sometimes not triggering well (not at all)
I have read that the latest Siglent upgrade will solve the problems
And this is true, now I don't have those problems
Now the main problem is the USB link with the EasyScope 3 program.
And the PRINT button use for saveing .CSV or .DAV files
I can save only .BMP files when I push the PRINT button.
It can't be configure for .CSV or .DAV files
That's all
If you can help me with the  3.01.01.31R17 it would be great.
Why do you think it won't work ?

I have an ATTEN ADS1102CAL dso

What is your hardware version?

The version 5.0 firmware requires a minimum hardware version for it to work.

Ok, is this this kind of case.

There is PM for 31R17 download link for Siglent CNL mode old FW. (not know if it can use for go back from new version to old.  Look first carafully if there can find other solutions for solve problems)

(and sorry for .CFG/.CNF is just mean configuration file but remember wrong these letters "my old memory where best before date have been long time ago")

I'm not sure about this but I think it do not work with EasyScope 3.
Have you see if you have USB mode selection "Printer", "Computer", "USBTMC"
Perhaps you do not have "Computer" selection anymore?
(In original Siglent I have  only Printer and USBTMC selection.)

USBTMC need (afaik) National Instruments Ni-VISA. (need dowload from National Instruments)

(also now there is SCPI commands, User manual for these (explanations and syntax) is also in new scopes CD)

(and then EasyScopeX, It is shipped with new versions scopes  CD and there is not anymore these USB drivers what have been before)

(rf-loop) you are right
It can't be downgrade
If you try you got this message: "Product type does not match"
Anyway thank you for your help
You have asked about the hardware
Inside the scope I found this strings:
siglent
ca_m_111000
sat7.820.6810
rz-02a

HW version read on your oscilloscope TFT.

Just screen where you see Model, FW version and HW version and serial number and how many times it have power up.
What HW version it tell?

You tell that EasyScope 3 do not work.
Perhaps you can try Ni-VISA and just for test USB communication. Give command *IDN? ("who are you?") and then if all ok it answer. But you need yourself study how it works. (I have not checked this but I believe this can do directly with Ni-Visa alone)

With new Siglent scopes where is  FW 5.xxxxxxx there come EasyScopeX and it need Ni-VISA (and this is not shared by Siglent but it is free downloadable from National Instruments) and it is best to have Ni-Visa installed before install EasyScopeX. (and better if before all first remove all old easyscope and usb driver versions.)

(rf-loop)
in UTILITY: SYSTEM STATUS:
Startup times:       362
Software Version: 5.01.02.13
Hardware version: 10-61-3.3
Product type:         SDS1102CNL
Serial number:       ADS0000111122201

I have installed Ni-Visa and with the WaveStudio i can download the data from the dso
but the .dav file (measurement file) have some lack of essential informations such as trigger positon and the most important
 the number of sampling points
you must guess it from the file length
the .dav file saved by the dso on memorystick also don't contain this informations
I'v made some reverse engeneering on this file
it has an 1000bytes of header followed by the binary data (8bit, 20480 bytes for each cannel)
at offset 0 of the header is a float (simple precission) of wich menaing I don't know
at offset 0x28 (hexadecimal) is a float wich is the time base in microseconds
at offset 0x34 is the amplitude multiplied by 100 or 1000(if10X attenuator is present)
at offest 0x34 a float (don't know what)
at 0x3c the sampling rate in MHz
That's all for now
I can't find the time stamp
and nothing about the trigger

If anybody have a documentation about the header's structure ?
I wrote a C program in borland c++ and I can process the .dav file but there is room for improvements

I know the method to downgrade the firmware DSO ADS1102CAL - it FLASH programming via the JTAG port on the device. I am able to read it \ write, but not quite figured out the device and the decoding of the file update. I achieved success by 80%. There was an area of ??roughly 1.5 MByte you want to understand what and how to write out a software update. This requires software images of living ADS1102CAL/SDS1102CNL/DS1102e. Read the firmware is simple - you just have one of the supported programmers (http://www.topjtag.com/flash-programmer/) and a little time .....
The result of my work is the software that will decode the file update from the software image to flash in FLASH. This will not only reduce the version of the software, but also to restore the dead device after updating the "wrong software", modify ADS1102Cal in SDS1102CNL (solve many bugs model ATTEN) and much more ....
If anyone is interested in my project - send me a personal message, we will work together on promoting it! I need help with the "working image of the software."

No need re-upgrade to 3.01.01.31R17, you can instal the NI-VISA 5.1.2

can anybody confirm that the easyscopeX or easyscope3 program is working with the SIGLENT SDS1102CML on WIN7 32bit
SIGLENT adviced me to try with NI-VISA on WIN7 64bit
I told that is not an option because a lots of old programs don't work on WIN7 64bit
My realy problem is that I can't download from the SDS1102CML in longmem mode all the data
I am using the command WAVEFORM_SETUP, WFSU of the "Remote Control Manual SDS1000 Series Oscilloscopes"
WFSU NP,65536
C1:WF?
the command return 64k of data but only 20480 bytes are realy valid (the rest is 00)
in the command WFSU NP stands for number of points
BUT !!! NP can't be more than 20480 or (40960 in case of 500MS/s)
The only way to get the whole longmem (2Mb) data is to store it on a memory stick in .CSV format and after that to import the data from that device
The .DAV format return only 20480 or 40960 bytes no matter if longmem is selected or not

1. You can use EasyScopeX (with CML 5.01.xx.xx) or EasyScope3 (with CML 3.01.xx.xx ),and NI-VISA 5.1.2.

2. It may be returned data length limit, you can set the limit greater than 2,048,000

In the CD shipped with the oscilloscope have the remote control manual. You also can write an email to sales@siglent.com to get the manual.

rf-loop: Thank you so much.

Siglent: Do not know why "Metravi" your Indian client strips original content from CD. I only got EasyScopeX installer inside the CD and not even warranty card.

What other contents I am missing on the CD? Is it possible to get .iso image of the original media?

These what you see in picture are  originally inside Siglent factory carton (+ of course power cord and probes  and USB cable) (CD version number may differ)
But what are inside rebranded models carton, of course this I do not know.
I know only what I get from Siglent factory door.

Welcome to the forum.

All firmware updates carry some risk but I have done many hundreds without mishap.

The last version for SDS1102CNL (not later Plus version) was 5.01.02.32 and it's still available from Siglent's factory website page.
http://www.siglentamerica.com/USA_website_2014/Firmware&Software/firmware/SDS1000CNL_SSP_V100R005B01D02P32%20(3).rar

There are earlier versions still available too, you can find the one above here and earlier on older pages:
http://www.siglent.com/ENs/gjjrj.aspx?id=15&page=8

Come back to us if you need further guidance.
