Simpson 265 pictures
« on: February 13, 2016, 11:59:06 pm »
I recently purchased a Simpson 265, and thought some may want to see pictures.  This is the only Simpson I've see without different positions on the range switch for the differing current ranges;  there are multiple jacks for the three current ranges in AC and DC current modes.

The interior is similar to the Triplet Dave took apart in EEVBLOG 634,  (Analog meter teardown) The newer Simpson Dave had wasn't built as well as this one and the Triplet - I agree with Dave, a real Bobbydazzler.

Ive been wondering if it's possible to have a high accuracy digital display connected to the meter movement input, to see how it stacks up against modern gear. :-DD
