SSD for Tektronix TDS7054

Hi! I got a Tektronix TDS7054 oscilloscope in great shape the other day, with 2M option, serial prefix B020...
I does boot rather slowly, so I'm considering to replace the HDD with an SSD. Going through the posts here, it seems that some of you may have experience with that. What would be the right steps so that I do not turn the TDS7054 into an oversize paperweight?
