« on: August 19, 2017, 06:24:42 pm »
Not an usual thing for me,because today i've spotted something of very strange .
So check this out https://tinyurl.com/yadlaj9t and this too : https://tinyurl.com/y97egpbt
As you can see,the same tweezer is sold for $388.99 on the canadian Syborg's website !!!
On the russian website, the same tweezer is sold for $118.76 !!!
I'm dying from this awkward moment, because i can't understand this threat of the price from the canadian side of Syborg's company .....
Another stuff is:who copied who??
As i can remember, this tweezer was originally on the russian website and only by now im spotting it on the Syborg's webstore .....

At this point who can explain me something ????

Oh, dear..  Clickbait title much?

Companies are allowed to charge as much as they like for any product. You're free to choose to not buy it from them.

There's no "scam" here..

Could you post the full links to the website? Shortened URLs are a security risk, as you don't quite know where you are sent.

Agreed.  I've used this site more than a few times to help determine where those shortened URL's are taking me.

Worse still, you could never even know you're under attack. The shortened URL could hide a specially crafted website, that in turn redirects you to the actual website. The user never knows he even passed through a malicious website and is under attack or even infected.

Thanks for the link, I was not aware unshorteners exist. Be sure to use one that's reliable itself, though :)

Unless you enabled all plugings and have no AV software, otherwise hacking into a computer through a malicious HTML content is almost impossible.
Pure HTML, maybe, but there are plenty of other vectors that are abused every day and to which a lot of users are susceptible. If you only allow pure HTML, browsing the web is almost impossible, so almost everyone will allow more than just that and that could be enough. Visiting a malicious website is never a good idea, even with decent protection.

Not to mention people being stupid with not installing updates or clicking on things they shouldn't click. Whatever the case, being able to see where a link sends you is important.

GIF, JPG, PNG and much more are proven to be very safe. Flash is kinda safe because most browsers will not show Flash contents unless they detect latest Flash plugin installed, and Adobe constantly patched security bugs.

Unless you are targeted by some super smart 0-day hackers, otherwise it's not a breach either.

Video formats are also kinda safe since so far I've never heard of any massive infection caused by multimedia code injection. Anyway Windows has DEP, so does Linux, and I believe OSX has similar features.

JS is kinda risky, but the worst it can do is to hog your system resource. JS is executed in a virtual machine with strict access policy in modern browsers.

If you still use ActiveX, then god bless you.
The fact that Adobe constantly has to patch Flash in the first place should tell us a lot. Some very nasty and actively abused vulnerabilities have turned up in the past. Also, if we look at how things work in practice, getting infected is not that hard. The modern internet consists of a lot of code being executed both server and client side and that will inevitably yield vulnerabilities. All you need is an outdated application or plug-in amongst the myriad installed on any given computer, a lapse of attention or simply a zero day that gets sold for plenty of money on the black market. Even the most security aware computer user cannot be perfect and even being perfect is no guarantee. I don't want to sound overly paranoid or alarmist, but complacency can be incredibly damaging. Security is a continuous process that always consists of a multifaceted approach. Make your defences as perfect as possible, then make sure an inevitable failure is as graceful as possible.

Modern software is leaky at best. Staying away from dubious websites does a lot to improve your personal security.
