You might need a TDS3000B Series User Manual Manual. https://www.tek.com/oscilloscope/tds3014b-manual/tds3000b-series-user-manual
Amazing machines. https://www.youtube.com/user/denha (It is not me...)

You do not need the battery.

BTW, if your unit has a TDS3BATB,  that battery has been recalled by Tektronix.   They will replace it for free (normal cost is like $750-$1000!).   I bought a very nice used TDS3024 a few months ago for cheap because the dead battery was giving a rather misleading warning on boot up.  I pulled the battery and the warning went away.   Then I looked into replacing (super expensive) or rebuilding the battery pack and found out about the recall.

Tek paperwork said to ship the old battery back to them, two day air, at their expense.  That would be illegal, so I paid the local UPS store around $40 to pack and ship it to them properly.

I have 2 nos of TDS3034B. Both had a defective power supply

I managed to repair one of the power supplies  ie artesyn NAN40-7615-01. and is working ok.
However in the other unit  the optocoupler IC A1- TCDT1103G( there ia a triangle logo). that was defective. I ordered a new 782-tcdt1103G from Mouser and replaced the IC . the power supply switches on but gives only 2 V dc. I tried another 782-tcdt1103G still same result.
Strangely I pulled out IC A1 - TCDT1103G  from the working unit and replaced it in the defective unit. bingo it started working. As someone had posted in this forum tried by replacing CNYF17-03 too still does not work. How do i source the Original opto coupler IC

Please can you stop double (triple) posting, it is very annoying and ultimately will get you banned.

I tried to exchange my TDS3BATB and the guy said they can't ship them in Oregon.  I think they're giving me the brush-off.
