Tektronix TDS5xx/6xx/7xx color CRT cross-compatibility

Hello,
I have a TDS754D scope, working fine but the CRT is a little dim.
I'm investigating about the possibility to swap the CRT with another from a donor scope.
On the 754D the part number is 154-0968-24 (CRT + NuColor LCD shutter), while older models I know use 154-0968-00 or 154-0968-01.
I wonder if these are cross-compatible and if it possible to fit an older CRT in my 754D.

Anyone has some experience in reviving / rejuvenating these CRTs?

From my experience with these scopes they are exchangeable.
