Tektronix TDS7104 Anyone upgraded CPU board

I have been reading different posts on this subject and after upgrading RAM on my BLX440 based TDS7104.
And realizing only 256MB RAM can be seen...

Does upgrading to the Radisys NLX board make any sense?

I have been reading through Tin's page on TDS7404 but wow you need to spend a few hours and take notes! So much information.

You can upgrade the memory to 512MB. You must use 256MB double sided DIMMs, though.

Do you happen to have a part number on double sided SIMM?

I purchased 3- 256MB PC100 sticks. But they still show only 256MB total when installed.
Reading the manual on BL440X Board it states 256MB maximum.


During research I see you have quite a bit of experience with the TDS 7000 series.

The NLX board in your scope is based on the 440BX chipset, not the ZX! Let me see If I have the right manual in a bit...

I stand corrected. Funny how something you've assumed for so long turns out to be wrong.  |O Sorry 'bout that!
Currently working on this TDS7104, it has the ZX chipset and supports 512MB of ram.

Yes they are double sided.

I did have another set...

Pictured on top 2 sticks together make 512MB

Bottom stick M14N3264 just makes 256MB Single or Two together


So now I have 512MB in one of my scopes.
